Security State Bank was established in 1932 in rural South Dakota and has been building strong client relationships ever since. We first opened our doors in Tyndall, SD, and have since expanded to Chancellor, Viborg, and across the border to Jackson and Heron Lake, MN. As a local Midwest business, we continually strive to take your banking experience to the next level, whether it’s through a faster online experience or a renovated lobby.

With this in mind, Security State Bank has become Security Bank. Our shorter name and fresh new look reflect our desire to stand out in the crowd while delivering a warm, friendly customer experience and the best of banking technology. We’re excited to embrace this change for ourselves and for you!

Since 1932, Security Bank has been serving the fine residents of South Dakota. Originally chartered in Tyndall and now serving Chancellor and Viborg, South Dakota, and Heron Lake and Jackson, Minnesota. We are a South Dakota, independently owned and managed organization.
